The new in-akustik premium WiFi audio receiver allows music stored on a smartphone, tablet, PC or server or NAS system to be played on any HiFi system wirelessly: The compact unit receives audio streams in hi-res quality of up to 24 bit / 96 kHz, and supports all standard formats, such as WAV, FLAC, AAC, MP3, etc. Compatible with Android, Apple iOS, Windows and Mac systems, the elegant white box is simply connected to the stereo system by means of plug-and-play. It features an optical digital output and a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack for this purpose, and a suitable audio jack cable is included in the scope of delivery. Computers or mobile devices in the network use the local WiFi router to connect to the WiFi audio receiver – e.g. by means of streaming apps such as Ezcast – and the digital music tracks you want to hear start playing through the loudspeakers right in your own lounge room. At the same time, the compact receiver can interpret transmission standards such as Airplay and DLNA equally well, and is also capable of Internet radio transmission. The USB port also allows audio files from any external storage media connected, such as USB sticks and portable hard drives, to be played straightforwardly as well. The power supply for the receiver, which is extremely effective despite ist small dimensions of just 78 x 78 x 18 mm, can be connected using either the enclosed micro-USB cable, or the power supply unit also provided with the unit. The premium WiFi audio receiver from in-akustik, which is available at a very fair price, therefore enhances every high-quality HiFi system in the most straightforward way possible by supplementing it with state-of-the art streaming functions – and this at the highest levels of acoustic quality.
